Background and Areas of Expertise:

While studying at Taylor University I focused on the reliability of the narrator in 20th Century journalistic literature, while also enjoying a bevy of other topics related to American history and literature. As a graduate student in Bloomington, Indiana, I fell in love with the theories and concepts surrounding the social aspects of information technology and computer-mediated communication. I also have a strong interest in young adult fiction and its past, present, and future cultural role.

I enjoy working with students new to the research process as well as seasoned researchers.

I can be of particular help with:

  • Beginning the research process and determining strategies and goals (and making it enjoyable!)
  • Citation and writing styles
  • Developing topics and theses
  • General graphic novel and comic book inquiries
  • Hoosier basketball
