How Can I Place Items on Reserve?

Library owned material

Books:

  • For single books, request through the library catalog
    • Find resource and view in catalog
    • Select "Reserve Desk"
    • Select "Place Academic Reserve Request" then complete the form and select "Send"
  • For multiple books, use the online Reserve Request Form
  • Or, bring the material with a completed Reserve Request Form to the library's Circulation Desk

Films:

  • To schedule film bookings, or to place a film on reserve for in-library use only, use the online Reserve Request Form
  • Or, bring the material with a completed Reserve Request Form to the library's Circulation Desk

Estimated 3 day turn around for materials to be available. Turn around time may be longer if materials are checked out or on order.

 

Photocopies of book chapter or journal article

Please bring the following to the library's Circulation Desk:

  1. Copy of the notice of copyright from the source (required by law)
  2. Completed Reserve Request Form
  3. Reasonable number of clear, good quality copies of chapter or journal article to meet expected student demand

Estimated 3 day turn around for materials to be available. Turn around time may be longer if materials are received anytime after the semester begins.

Instructor's personal materials

Bring materials along with completed Reserve Request Form to the library's Circulation Desk.

A paper reserve sleeve may be placed on the item to affix bar code and ID labels if requested. The library will not be responsible for loss or damage of personal copies.


Instructors are encouraged to recommend library purchases of resource material. Please contact your Library Liaison.
