Visitor Services

The primary mission of the Dickinson College Library is to support the academic needs of current students, faculty and staff of Dickinson College. Visitors are welcome to use much of the collection on site and will have access to a variety of services during general public building hours.

Borrowing Privileges

Dickinson College Library will extend borrowing privileges to the following types of visitors: Dickinson College Alumni, Dickinson College Family members, Friends of the Library, Consortium members, Cumberland County High School students (with High School Librarian permission), and Cumberland and Perry County residents over the age of 18. Building Access

Visitors may enter the Waidner-Spahr Library during our general public access hours. See our Locations and Hours page for more information.


Computer Use

Visitors may use our public access machines, on the main floor of the library located on the circulation desk. For more information, refer to our Public Computer Usage Policies.


Wireless Computing

Visitors who wish to access the library’s wireless network can self-register as a guest user. See the Technology Services page about the Wireless Network at Dickinson College for more information.
