Alumni & Friends of the Library Services

The primary mission of the Dickinson College Library is to support the academic needs of current students, faculty and staff of Dickinson College. Alumni and Friends of the Library are welcome to use much of the collection and will have access to a variety of services during public building hours.

 

Registration and Borrowing Privileges

To borrow from the Waidner-Spahr Library Dickinson alumni and Friends of the Library must first register at the main circulation desk. A library supervisor will assist you. Alumni should bring their Dickinson College ID (obtained from the college's ID office).

The loan period for print items (books, scores, and government documents) is 28 days with the options to renew. Alumni are permitted to have a total of 10 items out simultaneously. For both alumni and Friends, the loan period for media items (CDs, DVDs, and Video Tapes) is 1 item at a time for 24 hours with options to renew.

 

Building Access

Alumni and Friends of the Library may enter the Waidner-Spahr Library during our general public access hours. See our Locations and Hours page for more information.

 

Wireless Computing

Anyone wishing to access the library’s wireless network while on campus can self-register as a guest user. See the Technology Services page about the Wireless Network at Dickinson College for more information.
