Alumni & Friends of the Library Services

The primary mission of the Dickinson College Library is to support the academic needs of current students, faculty and staff of Dickinson College. Alumni and Friends of the Library are welcome to use much of the collection and will have access to a variety of services during public building hours.

Registration and Borrowing Privileges - Alumni

To borrow from the Waidner Spahr Library Dickinson alumni should bring their Dickinson College ID (obtained from the college's ID office) to the main circulation desk. A library supervisor will assist you with registration.

The loan period for print items (books, scores, and government documents) is 28 days with the option to renew. The loan period for media items (CDs, DVDs, and Video Tapes) is 1 item at a time for 24 hours. Alumni are permitted to have a total of 10 items out simultaneously.

Dickinson College alumni are permitted to use interlibrary loan services at no charge when the material borrowed is obtained free of charge.  However, some libraries do bill for their services.  These charges will be passed on to the patron making the request.

For more information see Alumni Regulations and Borrow from Other Libraries.
